People aged 65 and above can book an appointment for a dose of a new vaccine for the XBB variant of Covid-19 from Wednesday, the government has announced.
The jabs will be available from Thursday at Private Clinic Covid-19 Community Vaccination Stations, as well as some Hospital Authority outpatient clinics and elderly health centres run by the Department of Health.
The government said that at a later date, the jabs will also be offered to people aged 50 to 64, as well as other people in high-risk groups.
"The government appeals to the members of the public who have not received a suitable number of doses of [Covid] vaccine to get the doses as soon as possible for self-protection, in particular high-risk persons such as the elderly and residential care home residents," the administration added in a statement.
