A lorry driver was remanded in custody on Friday after appearing in court over the death of a pregnant woman and her baby.

The woman, 31, was hit by a lorry at the intersection of Hoi Bun Road and Tsun Yip Street in Kwun Tong on Tuesday afternoon.

A 59-year-old man is accused of dangerous driving causing death.

He did not enter a plea during the hearing at Kwun Tong Court.

The case was adjourned until April 12 for lab reports and further police investigation, with the defendant denied bail.
