Financial Secretary Paul Chan will depart on Sunday for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
The prestigious five-day conference will see leaders and industry stakeholders from more than a hundred countries and regions attending to speak on a range of issues facing the world, from climate change to artificial intelligence.
This year's forum, which gets underway on Monday, is themed "Rebuilding Trust".
During his trip, Chan is expected to speak in several keynote meetings, luncheons and dinners and is expected to meet with political and business leaders.
"Current geopolitical situation remains tense, with protectionism and decoupling sentiments rising high in individual countries. With an uneven pace of post-epidemic recovery and growth, global economic outlook still faces many uncertainties," Chan said in a statement.
"At such a time, countries should join hands to promote a more resilient global development, respond to imminent challenges such as climate change, and make development more equitable and inclusive."
Premier Li Qiang will also attend the forum in Davos and is expected to address the opening ceremony.
