Hong Kong stocks sank at the opening on Tuesday following a negative performance in Europe, with confidence weighed by geopolitical worries, while investors were also awaiting key US and Chinese data due later in the week.
The Hang Seng Index dived 1.15 percent, or 186.08 points, to 16,030.25.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.16 percent, or 4.73 points, to 2,881.56, and the Shenzhen Composite Index eased 0.11 percent, or 1.89 points, to 1,741.69. (AFP)
