National security police on Friday said they had charged a man over allegedly seditious social media posts.

Officers alleged the posts included content that provoked hatred towards the central authorities and the SAR government.

The suspect, 35, was due to appear in West Kowloon Magistracy on Friday afternoon charged with "doing an act or acts with seditious intention".
