The Hong Kong Observatory on Sunday reminded people to wrap up warm, saying the weather is going to be very chilly over the next few days.
“An intense winter monsoon and upper-air disturbances will affect Guangdong in the next couple of days. Temperatures will fall further and it will be very cold and windy with a few rain patches over the region,” the weatherman said.
The forecaster is expecting the mercury to plunge to seven degrees Celsius in the urban areas on Tuesday, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories.
While the temperature will slowly rise after that, it will still be rather cool in the latter part of the week.
