Chief Executive John Lee on Wednesday made a visit to the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree in Tai Po, wishing for Hong Kong to have a bright future and the city's people good health in the Year of the Dragon.

Lee successfully threw his fortune card onto the tree. It's believed that if the card doesn't fall down, the wish will come true.

Lee said Lam Tsuen will hold its first night market on Wednesday as part of the government's Day and Night Vibes campaign.

"I believe that everyone wants to throw a fortune card onto the tree when we come to Lam Tsuen, to wish that the coming year will be better. I believe it will be more wonderful at night because there will be glowing fortune cards. This will bring joy, warmth and blessings for everyone," he said.

The Lam Tsuen Wishing Night Bazaar will last until February 13.
