Hong Kong shares ended lower on Friday, a day after Japanese, US and European markets saw record highs driven by surging tech shares.
After three straight days of gains, the Hang Seng Index finished down 0.1 percent, or 17 points, at 16,725.
The Shanghai Composite Index ended up 0.6 percent, or 16 points, to 3,004, and the Shenzhen Composite Index added 1.2 percent, or 19 points, to 1,669. (AFP)
