Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Monday after two of Wall Street's three major indices edged up to new records.

The Hang Seng Index was up 0.09 percent to 16,741.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.08 percent to 3,007, and the Shenzhen Composite Index on the mainland's second exchange rose 0.50 percent to 1,678. (AFP)
