An 86-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of indecently assaulting a student nurse and a patient care assistant at Caritas Medical Centre in Cheung Sha Wan.

The hospital said the nurse and the patient care assistant were performing nursing procedures on a patient in an eye ward when the incident occurred.

It called the police immediately after learning of the incident.

"The hospital is highly concerned about the incident and expressed sympathy to the nursing student and patient care assistant concerned. The hospital has provided support to them," it said in a statement.

It has also reported the case to the Hospital Authority's head office.
