Hong Kong stocks ended higher on Tuesday as traders await US economic data this week with hopes of gleaning interest rate-cut clues.
The Hang Seng Index gained 0.9 percent, or 156 points, to close at 16,790.
The Shanghai Composite Index ended up 1.3 percent, or 38 points, at 3,015, and the Shenzhen Composite Index added 2.4 percent, or 39 points, to 1,716. (AFP)
