The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) on Tuesday said it was investigating two food poisoning clusters, possibly linked to a Causeway Bay restaurant that sold raw oysters and sashimi. Eleven people have so far been affected.

The centre said the first cluster involved a man and two women, aged between 28 and 46, who developed abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea between three hours and about 12 hours after eating at the restaurant last Saturday.

The second concerned eight men, aged 29 to 36, who developed similar symptoms about one-to-two days after eating at the same place on the same day.

None of the 11 required hospital treatment.

The Centre for Food Safety has inspected the restaurant.

The CHP did not name the restaurant.
