Hong Kong shares ended lower on Thursday ahead of the release of key US inflation figures later in the day.

The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.2 percent, or 25 points, to close at 16,511.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 1.9 percent, or 57 points, to 3,015, and the Shenzhen Composite Index gained 3.4 percent, or 55 points, to 1,706. (AFP)
