Transport Secretary Lam Sai-hung on Monday said a new car park on the Hong Kong side of the bridge to Macau and Zhuhai will enable more people to drive here for a visit or to use the airport.
On an RTHK programme, Lam said the first phase of the car park will be completed by the end of this year with 1,000 places.
"If you come by car, you can park your car and then we have transportation to take you directly to the airport for your flight to your chosen destination. That also applies for when you return," he said.
"You can also park your car there even if you don't have a flight. You can go directly to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Port and that counts as an arrival entry."
The car park will eventually have a total of 6,000 places.
