Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers on Monday expressed hopes that more of them would be able to enter the Hong Kong market.
On the sidelines of the annual “two sessions” meetings in Beijing, He Xiaopeng, CEO of XPeng Motors, said he hopes to see his company's EVs on Hong Kong's roads within the year.
“I think the technology, products and the transformation for customer experience will improve this year… I believe all kinds of intelligence can make transportation more effective and safe, and help us commute easily,” he told RTHK.
Meanwhile, the co-founder and chairman of tech giant Xiaomi, Lei Jun, said his company was well-prepared to face any competition as it looks to expand to Hong Kong.
