One man was killed and another injured after two drivers were hit by a truck on Tate's Cairn Highway in Sha Tin on Monday morning.
The accident followed a collision between a car and a taxi at 10.30am. The two drivers had got out of their vehicles to talk to each other, when they were hit by an incoming truck.
Police said both men were rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
The 53-year-old taxi driver sustained light injuries, while the 68-year-old driver of the private vehicle was declared dead at hospital.
Police said the 58-year-old truck driver was arrested for alleged dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
