Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Tuesday morning thanks to fresh gains for tech giants and ahead of the release of key US inflation data due later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.69 percent, or 114.38 points, to 16,701.95.
The Shanghai Composite Index was flat, inching down 0.27 points to 3,068.18, while the Shenzhen Composite Index gained 0.22 percent, or 3.82 points, to 1,760.00. (AFP)
