Hong Kong stocks opened with small gains on Thursday, resuming a recent rally after the previous day's retreat, with eyes on the release later in the day of US producer price index figures.
The Hang Seng Index ticked up 0.22 percent to 17,121.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.05 percent to 3,042, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on the mainland's second exchange eased 0.09 percent to 1,767. (AFP)
