Chief Secretary Eric Chan on Thursday announced that three new community living room projects would commence operations within this year.
Chan, who also chairs the Commission on Poverty, said the three projects would be located in To Kwa Wan, Hung Hom and Nam Cheong.
Including the Sham Shui Po community living room which is already in use, Chan hoped the four projects could provide services for about 270,000 people this year.
"Our aim is to set up community living rooms in areas concentrated with subdivided flats. We hope more property developers can join us to create more community living rooms, in order to benefit more grassroot families," he said.
The first community living room was set up in Sham Shui Po in December last year, providing space and activities for people living in subdivided flats.
