Visitors who went to see a crocodile under the care of the Ocean Park on Saturday said they're happy to find out it's doing well.
The female reptile, named Passion, is now in a new facility at the entrance to the park that people can visit for free.
The park arranged for a group of kindergarten children, teachers and parents to see the crocodile first.
A girl who went with her younger sister told RTHK she enjoyed the rare chance of seeing the animal in the flesh.
"[Passion] is a bit shy. She was hiding," she said, adding that she thinks crocodile Pui Pui in the Wetland Park is more lively.
Passion was caught in a village in Pat Heung, Yuen Long a year ago.
Her carers said she has grown slightly in the past year, now measuring 1.97 metres and weighing 38.5 kilograms.
