Police on Saturday said they have arrested a man on suspicion of manslaughter, following the death of a pedestrian hit by a car in Sham Shui Po on Thursday night.
Officers said they were trying to get drivers suspected of illegal parking to move their cars on Castle Peak Road near the Garden Bakery, when a driver allegedly sped away in the vehicle.
A woman, 66, was hit, and she died in hospital on Friday.
Police said they found a Hong Kong ID card at the scene of the crash, and suspect that it belongs to the driver.
Officers said the suspect, 22, was also being detained for drug trafficking, after traces of cocaine and the drug "ice" were found in the car.
The police added that a man, 19, was arrested in Shek Lei Estate in Kwai Chung, on suspicion of aiding a criminal.
The car owner, 32, had been arrested earlier. Police said he appeared in Fanling Court on Saturday morning on a holding charge of drug trafficking.
