Hong Kong stocks closed slightly higher on Monday, boosted by data that showed China's factory output and retail sales had beaten expectations in the January-February period, although indicators on the mainland property market continued to disappoint.
The Hang Seng Index closed 0.1 percent higher to end the day at 16,737.
Investors were also looking ahead to the outcome of meetings of the Bank of Japan and Federal Reserve later this week which could see the end of free money in Japan and a slower glide path for US rate cuts. (Agencies)
