From next week, eligible public housing tenants can apply to buy government-subsidised flats, with a discount rate of 48 percent off market value.
The Housing Authority said 2,359 new flats at Lai Yuet Court in Cheung Sha Wan would be put up for sale as part of this year’s batch of Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme units.
Sized between 280 and 646 square feet, the homes will range in cost from about HK$1.54 million to HK$4.61 million.
Green form buyers who live in public housing will have from March 28 to April 17 to submit their applications in person, by post or online.
Around 200 previously unsold government-subsidised flats at Kai Chuen Court in Diamond Hill, Ko Wang Court in Yau Tong, and Kam Pak Court in Ma On Shan would also be put up for sale.
The authority said balloting would be held by June, and buyers would be able to choose their flat later this year.
