Hong Kong stocks opened on the front foot on Tuesday morning, with investors brushing off losses on Wall Street as they prepare for a series of key US data this week.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.45 percent, or 74 points, to rise to 16,548 at the opening of trade. (AFP)
