Hong Kong's hopes of advancing to the next qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup were dashed as they suffered a 3-0 to Uzbekistan, leaving the SAR side bottom of Group E.
The hosts scored after 20 minutes then put it beyond any doubt with two more in the 63rd minute and 70th minute.
Eldor Shomurodov scored first for the hosts, followed by another from Khojimat Erkinov, and a third from Oston Urunov.
That leaves Uzbekistan second in Group E, with 10 points, while Hong Kong have one point after four matches.
In China's qualifying match in Tianjin, the hosts crushed Singapore 4-1.
Wu Lei scored twice, in the 21st and 85th minutes, while Fei Nanduo converted a penalty after 65 minutes and Wei Shihao tallied in the 90th minute.
The result leaves China second in Group C with seven points. Singapore are bottom with one point.
