Police on Saturday said they arrested a man on suspicion of attacking a taxi driver with a set of keys in an attempt to rob him.

Officers say the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday in Tuen Mun. The attacker fled the scene without taking any property.

An acting chief inspector Woo Nok-hin says, after checking security camera footages, police arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of assault with intent to rob.

He has been detained for investigation.
