Firefighters rescued two window cleaners who had been trapped on a scaffold ten storeys off the ground in Sheung Wan for hours.
Police said the two male workers, aged 43 and 46, began window cleaning at Shun Tak Centre at 10.30 am, and found the platform stuck two hours later. It's thought a malfunction in the wiring was responsible.
After police received a report at around 4pm, officers and firefighters rushed to the scene to rescue the duo.
The firefighters were lowered down to the platform by rope to pluck the workers off it and return the duo to the street at around 6 pm.
The force added that the Labour Department is following up on the incident.
