Hong Kong table tennis players Wong Chun-ting and Doo Hoi-kem secured qualification for this summer's Paris Olympics on Thursday, winning a qualifying event in the Czech Republic in the mixed-doubles.

After receiving a bye in the first of four knockout ties, the SAR pair came from two-games down to narrowly defeat Samuel Kulczycki and Zuzanna Wielgos of Poland 4-3 in the quarter final.

Wong and Doo again came from behind in their semi final against Sweden's Kristian Karlsson and Christina Kallberg, but won three games in a row to advance with a 4-2 triumph.

The final saw the Hong Kong hopefuls come up against Luka Mladenovic and Ni Xia-lian of Luxembourg. At 3-2 up, Wong and Doo won the final game 13-11, taking the win and the spot at Paris 2024.
