Hong Kong stocks opened with a small loss on Thursday as investors took a breather following a strong three-day rally and after a disappointing earnings report from Facebook parent Meta.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.3 percent to 17,144.
The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.2 percent to 3,037, and the Shenzhen Composite Index edged down 0.5 percent to 1,687. (AFP)
