Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tai Po on Saturday afternoon in which a 76-year-old taxi driver died.

The force said he had been turning onto On Cheung Road from a car park on Tai Yuen Estate, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a stationary light goods vehicle.

He was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in an unconscious state, where he was certified dead about an hour later.
