Police on Sunday arrested a mother on suspicion of leaving her three children at home alone in Tung Chung.

Officers said they received a call from her son, 9, shortly after 10am, saying his mother "went downstairs" from the flat at Yat Tung Estate.

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found his brother, 2, and sister, 6, were also there.

The children were not hurt.

Police arrested the woman, 36, on suspicion of child neglect.
