Hong Kong stocks rose at the open Tuesday, extending gains into a seventh straight trading day, following a healthy lead from Wall Street as investors gear up for the latest Federal Reserve policy decision.
Meanwhile six spot bitcoin and ether exchange traded funds (ETFs) gained in their Hong Kong debut, with the three bitcoin ETFs climbing more than 3 percent in early trade.
The Hang Seng Index advanced 0.54 percent to 17,843.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.09 percent to 3,110, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on the mainland's second exchange also lost 0.09 percent to 1,767. (AFP/Reuters)
