Hong Kong stocks opened with more gains on Friday morning as investors brushed off losses on Wall Street and focused on possible US interest rate cuts and strong earnings for tech giants.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.77 percent to 19,525.
The Shanghai Composite Index was flat, inching down 0.69 points at 3,122, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on the mainland second exchange edged down 0.10 percent, or 1.73 points, to 1,763. (AFP)
