The Department of Health warned people on Friday not to fall for fraudulent advertisements circulating online about free medical insurance by the government.

Health authorities said in a statement that false advertisements carrying the department's logo claimed the government would provide medical insurance for people aged 55 or above.

They said they have reported the case to police, adding that all remarks in those advertisements are false.
