The Judiciary has set June 25 to be the starting date for a mitigation hearing for Hong Kong’s largest national security trial to date.
The hearing will start at 10am, and is expected to last for three days at the West Kowloon Court.
National security judges Andrew Chan, Alex Lee and Johnny Chan last week passed judgement in the case, finding 14 defendants guilty of conspiring to commit subversion, while acquitting two. Thirty-one others had earlier pleaded guilty to the same charge.
The Department of Justice had announced its intention to appeal against the acquittals.
