Hong Kong stocks closed with losses on Thursday following the previous day's strong rally, with investors assessing the outlook for US interest rates.

The Hang Seng Index sank 0.5 percent, or 95 points, to 18,335.

The Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.4 percent, or 12 points, to 3,005, while the Shenzhen Composite Index dropped 1.9 percent, or 31 points, to 1,655. (AFP)
