Hong Kong shares finished sharply lower on Friday as tech firms sank following a largely negative day on Wall Street, where market heavyweights Nvidia and Apple suffered hefty selling.
The Hang Seng Index shed 1.7 percent, or 306 points, to 18,028.
The Shanghai Composite Index gave up 0.2 percent, or 7 points, to 2,998, while the Shenzhen Composite Index eased 0.1 percent, or 1 point, to 1,654. (AFP)
