Hong Kong stocks closed with a small gain on Wednesday, in line with gains across most of Asia, as investors look ahead to the release of key US data at the end of the week.
The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.1 percent, or 17 points, to 18,089.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.8 percent, or 22 points, to 2,972, while the Shenzhen Composite Index climbed 2 percent, or 32 points, to 1,641. (AFP)
