Hong Kong shares sank at the open on Thursday in an uneasy start for Asian markets, despite a positive day on Wall Street and ahead of potentially market-moving US numbers later this week.
The Hang Seng Index shed 0.8 percent to 17,946.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.3 percent to 2,962, while the Shenzhen Composite Index lost 0.4 percent to 1,634. (AFP)
