Tuen Mun Magistrates' Court on Saturday ordered a psychiatric assessment of a man, who allegedly tried to kill his wife and three daughters by burning charcoal at a public housing flat.
The 43-year-old faces four counts of attempted murder. He allegedly lit the charcoal before fleeing the flat on Shan King Estate in Tuen Mun on Wednesday.
Acting Principal Magistrate Daniel Tang adjourned the case to July 12, pending psychiatric reports to determine whether the man is fit to enter a plea.
He was remanded in custody.
