Hong Kong and mainland stocks ended lower on Monday, with investors hoping for more policy stimulus from upcoming government meetings amid a weak economic recovery, rising geopolitical tensions and foreign outflows.
The Hang Seng Index closed down 275 points, or 1.6 percent, at 17,524.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.9 percent at 2,922, while the smaller Shenzhen index ended down 1.9 percent. (Reuters)
