Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) organisers on Tuesday said they hope to avoid overcrowding issues at this year's event by charging separately for entry to the cosplay and exhibition areas, rather than issuing all-in-one tickets as they have in the past.
Over 2,000 cosplayers are expected to join the five-day event from July 26 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.
ACGHK's chief executive officer, Leung Chung-pun, said more than 140 exhibitors will take part in the fair.
“Apart from Hong Kong citizens being the mainstream, we welcomed visitors from more than 30 countries and regions [last year]... ACGHK has a very stable foundation to continue developing into the most influential anime exhibition in the whole of Asia, or even the world,” Leung said.
Ticket details will be announced at a later date.
