The Super Terminal Expo will be held in Hong Kong this November.
The expo will feature conferences, awards and forums centred on celebrating and introducing aviation technology advancements, as well as facilitating discussions about urban air mobility.
Michael Duck, executive vice president of Informa Market, said multiple sectors, from banking to restaurants, stand to benefit.
He said Hong Kong has been chosen for the expo because it is right at the centre as the biggest growth area for aviation in the world.
"This (expo) is very important to show to everyone within the region that the place to meet the most amount of people in the shortest amount of time, is here in Hong Kong," Duck said.
Vivian Cheung, acting chief executive of the Airport Authority, said Chek Lap Kok has already made good use of new technology, from the third runway and facial recognition for passengers, to automated vehicles to carry luggage.
