A 34-year-old man, allegedly linked to the suspected murder of a Chinese woman in Thailand, was arrested in Macau.
Yan Ruimin, a 38-year-old influencer, went missing during her solo trip to Thailand and is suspected to have been dismembered.
The suspect allegedly fled to Macau after the woman's death and tried to pawn a fake watch at a shop last Wednesday.
But the shop staff were suspicious and reported him to the police.
Officers eventually caught him at the Taipa Ferry Terminal and handed him over to mainland police on Monday morning.
During the investigation, Macau police were informed by mainland authorities that the suspect could be hiding in Macau.
After checking his identity, it was confirmed that he was the suspect in the murder case.
