Hong Kong shares ended lower on Tuesday.

At the close of trade, the Hang Seng Index was down 271 points, or 1.5%, at 17,769.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed up 0.1% at 2,976, while the smaller Shenzhen index ended up 0.5%. (Reuters)
