The Observatory on Wednesday issued the Amber Rainstorm Warning, meaning heavy rain exceeding 30 millimetres an hour is falling and is likely to continue.

The Drainage Services department called on the public to report any flooding, while the Labour Department told employers and contractors to be aware of electrical safety at work.

The Observatory also issued the Thunderstorm Warning.
