China added a silver and a bronze to their haul in the men's trampoline, while reigning champion Ivan Litvinovich successfully defended his Olympic title.
Both Yan Langyu and 18-year-old Wang Zisai were hoping to dethrone Litvinovich, the Belarusian who competed as an "individual neutral athlete" because of his nation's involvement in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Wang, who started third in the eight-man final, briefly led the pack with a score of 61.89 while Yan was close behind in second.
They were judged by their routine's difficulty, execution, horizontal displacement and time of flight.
Litvinovich was second last to go, and he withstood pressure to win in 63.09.
