Hong Kong stocks sank at Monday's open, tracking a selloff on Wall Street and in line with the rest of Asia after a weak US jobs report fuelled fears of a recession in the world's number one economy.
The Hang Seng Index fell 1.59 percent to 16,676.
Shanghai Composite Index down 0.55 percent to open at 2,889, while the Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.91 percent lower at 8,475 points. (AFP/Xinhua)
