Hong Kong stocks close lower

Hong Kong's stock market ended lower on Monday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 1.5 percent at 16,698.

The Shanghai Composite Index finished down 1.5 percent at 2,860, while the Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.9 percent lower at 8,395. (Xinhua)
