Hong Kong stocks close higher

Hong Kong's stock market ended higher on Friday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 1.2 percent at 17,090.

The Shanghai Composite Index finished down 0.3 percent at 2,862.19, while the Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.6 percent lower at 8,393. (Xinhua)
